Steven Hack
Voice actor / Composer / Musician / Writer
I have been involved with music for most of my life. Born and raised in Baltimore, now based in Seattle, I am a trained musician. I have been playing trumpet for 24 years and guitar for 18 years. Currently, I am composing for indie projects, including video games and animation, along with personal scores. I am also a trained actor, including theatre and improv. I provide voices for indie projects and several personal projects. My free time during the spring and summer is spent playing slowpitch softball and playing video games. I also spend time volunteering at a local archery range throughout the year. In addition to these activities, I spend time playing D&D with friends and family, both as a player and a DM/GM.
My composing credits include Band Pride, ZOMBIECORE, and Critical Concert III. I make music in a variety of genres including orchestral, rock, metal, lo-fi, and electronic. While I enjoy making music for all of these genres, I have developed a special joy in creating orchestral music designed for fantasy games like D&D. Most of my inspiration for music comes from playing D&D and other fantasy RPGs.
I provide the voice for Kymber in the audio drama Misfits of Dawnwood. In addition to being a composer and voice actor, I am also a published writer and have used my skills for a variety of D&D based projects. I served as a writer for The People's Prison, a 5th edition D&D one-shot adventure by Penny Dragon Games. I have a few titles available on Dungeon Master's Guild as well, all for 5th edition D&D. In addition to these, I am currently writing for personal projects which will debut in 2025.
